What are the latest frequencies for Iranian provincial channels? What is the frequency for HD channel 3? Where can you watch live broadcasts of World Cup matches and which satellite and channel offer them for free?

Due to recent changes in some frequencies, Iranian provincial channels have emerged, and we will discuss them here. The transmission quality of Iranian provincial channels has changed from SD to HD, and it is no longer possible to receive all Iranian provincial channels with older receivers.

All frequencies for Iranian provincial channels and the frequencies of national channels (Channel 1, 2, 3, etc., as well as Varzesh, Tamasha, iFilm, and Nasim) are fully broadcast on two satellites. Iranian provincial frequencies have recently changed on the Badr satellite, and we will list all the frequencies below.

How many frequencies are there for Iranian national and provincial channels on Yahsat?

In fact, there are no frequencies for Iranian provincial channels in the Yahsat satellite, and they only exist on the Badr satellite (strong signal) and the IntelSat 39-902 satellite (very weak reception).

Why have HD channels of IRIB been discontinued?

Why have HD channels of IRIB been discontinued? We have provided the latest frequencies for HD and provincial channels in Iran below. They will always be updated to provide you with the latest IRIB channels. However, it should be noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) has upgraded most of its channels to full HD, and some new frequencies have been introduced, while some SD channels have been discontinued. HD channels that have recently been broadcast on satellite and digital terrestrial devices require a re-scan to receive all channels.

The main issue with the change in frequencies for Iranian provincial channels on Badr satellite is that, firstly, in Iran, we do not have legal production of HD or Forki (HEVC support) receivers. Secondly, the production of set-top boxes that can cover 10-bit color (Forki or HEVC support) is not available in Iran. All domestic production is assembly of Chinese parts with labels and packaging in Iran, similar to famous brands such as Denai and Maxider.

To receive all IRIB channels on Badr and IntelSat 902 satellites, you need a Forki or a receiver with 10-bit color support.

Frequency of Iran 4K channel Forki of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB):

The latest frequency for Iran 4K Forki channel from IRIB is available on Badr 26 satellite. This is the only Forki channel from IRIB available on this satellite and has a decent signal strength. It mostly broadcasts documentaries and nature programs, sometimes featuring live broadcasts of events with Persian commentary. It’s worth noting that this channel is still in a trial phase, and its future is uncertain. It officially started broadcasting on September 9, 2020.

Latest Provincial Frequencies for Iran on IntelSat 902 Satellite (HD Sports and Tamasha Channels):

The latest provincial frequencies for Iran and HD channels of IRIB have recently changed as of 402. Some digital and satellite channels have been disconnected. You can receive IRIB’s HD channels by rescanning. Additionally, we have listed the frequency for national channels below. Typically, new channels are not added to these frequencies, but channel frequencies may change from time to time. We will keep these frequencies updated below:

Iran’s provincial channels are not available on the Yahsat satellite. Recently, one channel, “IFilm 2,” broadcasting programs in Urdu and Tajik languages, has started airing on this satellite. It is unclear when this channel will become fully operational on Yahsat.

Iran Provincial Channels on Youtelsat Satellite

Iran’s provincial channels are not available on the Youtelsat satellite. Recently, some IRIB channels have become active on this satellite, including News, Jaaam-e-Jam, Sahar, and Nasim.
