Our university was founded in 2014 and started active education in the 2018-2019 academic year. Our university has rapidly developed and has become one of the most preferred universities with the highest number of students in the 2021-2022 academic year. Onbeş Kasım Kıbrıs University was established because it is aware of the opportunities that will differentiate it from existing higher education institutions. These opportunities include the presence of practical environment and facilities, a contemporary university understanding, contributions to society, and options for students to make the most of their free time. When we look at the academic history of the university, we can list it as follows: the first lesson of the 2018-2019 academic year, the opening of Vocational Schools in the 2019-2020 academic year, the opening of the institute in the 2020-2021 academic year, the approval of INQAAHE equivalency and the first graduates in the 2021-2022 academic year, and the opening of the Faculty of Engineering in the 2022-2023 academic year. In the 2022-2023 academic year, our school has 5 faculties, 14 undergraduate programs, 3 vocational schools, 7 associate degree programs, 3 master’s programs, 1 doctoral program, a continuous education center (SEM), foreign languages and preparatory school, and a Turkish teaching application and research center (TÖMER). Our university, which advances and grows every new academic year, has taken steps in digitalization with its professional academic and administrative staff. Every new academic year, efforts are made to provide our students with the best in terms of academics, transportation, and campus life. As a student-friendly university, OKKU supports its students at every step in preparing for life by offering work, internship, and voluntary experiences to avoid any victimization and to have a comfortable university life. It is our greatest motivation and desire to make the most of our school’s privileges and to graduate students who are productive, open to development, and prepared for life.
