Based in Azerbaijan, Space TV is one of the country’s most-watched state television channels. Supported by the government and substantial financial resources, Space TV can be considered as the only debt-free television channel in the country.
The channel is known for its slogan, “Space televiziya kanalı, həmişə sizinlədir, həmişə birincidir!” (Space TV channel is always with you, always first!), and it has a significant viewership from around the world, with particular interest from countries like Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC).
Space TV’s programming lineup includes news, politics, cartoons, music, series, movies, documentaries, and sports programs. It has aired Turkish TV series that have made history in Turkish television, such as “Kurtlar Vadisi” and “Aşk-ı Memnu.”
Space TV used to broadcast from Türksat 3A satellite in Turkey for approximately 5 years but currently only continues its broadcasts from the Azerspace-1 satellite. Despite the change in satellite broadcasting, Space TV remains one of Azerbaijan’s most-watched channels.
